DID YOU KNOW....
BOXING blasts up to 600 calories an hour while sculpting your arms, shoulders, core, and legs.
-shape
Myself personally, I would prefer to get my mind off running on a treadmill and elliptical on occasion and challenge myself with something different. Something that works my entire core.
At the moment I am paying for a trainer. It is totally worth it. Especially when he makes me sweat, cry, and limp for a few days. I asked him to box with me. Ever since I took a few classes at this martial arts studio in apple valley and one at Lifetime I have been hooked. It trains my mind as well as my body with challenging techniques and a few swings out of no where coming at you will make you focus.

A few other outdoor and fun activities to try ....
---KAYAKING or standup paddle boarding. Lebanon Hills in Eagan has a place to rent both.
----Paintball. I have been to the Farmington location. SO MUCH FUN!!!
---Jump roping, this I am trying to make a habit out of it. They say its the best form of cardio you can do.
It burns a lot of calories in a short amount of time. It is estimated that 10 minutes of jumping rope (at 120 turns per minute) has the same benefit as jogging for 30 minutes. Those are great numbers for people short on time.
---Hiking in new locations. Grab some friends and hit Taylor's falls or Stillwater area. There are so many beautiful locations in MN we truly need to see and take advantage of. --
